Stress Tip #200: Start Your Day
How would you like to start your day? Common replies to this question center around either food and beverages or peace and quiet. After you turn off the alarm clock, what about taking two minutes to do some gentle stretches that gradually wake up the body? Or you could set an aspiration or intention for the day, such as treating everyone kindly or with respect. If you have family members, you could wish them a lovely, productive day. Some people like to jog while the air is cool and calm and the roads are empty. Or you could take several minutes to simply sit and follow the natural rhythm of your breathing. What will be your way to begin the day?
