Stress Tip #214: What Is Important
I find it’s very easy to get distracted from what’s important when there is a lot going on and changes are at hand. By “important” I’m referring to what brings value to our lives and to those around us. We can consider our morals and ethics that drive our actions and the consequences of our actions. Meaning to do good is important and evaluating the results of what we do is just as important. We can project the possible consequences before acting, observe the current results while acting, and review what actually unfolded in order to be more skillful in the future. No matter how busy we might be, I recommend taking a few moments each morning to refresh awareness of what is important to us so that each day serves as a new beginning.
